What You’ll Learn
In this lesson you will learn to recognize inappropriate play behaviors and attempt to intervene and redirect prior to escalation. You’ll know the behaviors to watch is actually in the other dog or the victim to determine if play is appropriate in the situation. You’ll understand how to effectively use management tools to control behavior including timeouts, rest periods, redirecting or splitting, and low-key leash walks and you’ll recognize situations when a punishment might be necessary and how to do so safely and effectively.
